“Jenseits des Raums” by Laura Frahm

Laura Frahm’s book Jenseits des Raums has been published as volume 5 of the IKKM Books. The volume which is also Laura Frahm’s dissertation, reevaluates the question of the filmic space with the help of the concept of topology.

The book works both in a systematic and a historic dimension: from early city films of the 1920s, via film noir to episodic films of the 1980s and 1990s it presents a broad historic view about city films of the 20th century. At the same time it develops the concept of filmic topology further.

The book appeared in German at Transcript publishers at a price of € 33,80.
